About Us

bodhitree_finalThe Bodhi Tree or The Tree of Awakening signifies the awakening experience attained by Gautama Buddha and refers to the unique consciousness of a fully liberated being. Buddha attained enlightenment while meditating beneath a Bodhi Tree in Bodh Gaya more than 2,500 years ago. Later, when his followers asked where they could offer homage when he was away, he pointed them to the Bodhi Tree. Bodhi, which is most commonly translated into English as enlightenment can also be described as an awareness of the true nature of the universe. Just as our name suggests, at Bodhi Tree India, it is our sole purpose to ensure that our guests have an enlightening travel experience while they explore the vibrant Indian terrain. He has travelled extensively in India and has accompanied groups from Europe and America on their trips to South India. Fen started his career with a reputed UK based travel company and has been one of the main persons involved in designing off beat soft trek tours in South India for the company. He later expanded his horizons when he started his own venture in June 2010. He has been successfully organizing tours for groups from Germany, UK and US on a regular basis.
